The happy family spent Thanksgiving weekend together with Ryan’s family, most likely in his home state of Delaware.

Ryan’s ex-wife Reese Witherspoon spent Thanksgiving with boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal in the UK. The couple and actress pal Gwyneth Paltrow celebrated at a party thrown by British architect Richard Rogers.

Reese Witherspoon picks up a few items at the Temperley London boutique in Notting Hill, London on Saturday, November 29. (She’s in town without her two kids to do press for her new comedy, Four Christmases. Possibly with her costar Vince Vaughn.)

The 32-year-old actress spent Thanksgiving with boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal and actress pal Gwyneth Paltrow at a party thrown by British architect Richard Rogers.

Reese recently told the BBC that she’s going to limit the number of gifts her kids get for Christmas this year. She said, “I’m a little strict about that kind of stuff. I think kids do best when they only have a couple of things that they really enjoy. I try and stay away from the gluttony of things. They don’t appreciate it as much. When they only get one or two things they really like it.”

Gwyneth Paltrow spends Thanksgiving with Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon at a party thrown by British architect Richard Rogers (neon green shirt and bright blue Crocs) at his Chelsea home in London on Thursday.

Also spotted at the party was Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi’s ex-husband, Indian-British novelist Salman Rushdie and presumably one of his sons.

This week’s issue of OK! Magazine somehow managed to misspell Ashlee Simpson’s name as “Ashley” - on the cover, no less.

A rep for the magazine told Page Six, “It is highly embarrassing and, sadly, someone will probably be fired.”

This comes just weeks after Susan Toepfer was installed as the new editor-in-chief. Not a great way to start off your new job!

Reese Witherspoon shows off her legs for days as she does promotional visits at the Late Show with David Letterman and Good Morning America on Tuesday in New York City.

The 32-year-old actress has been on the media circuit for her new film, Four Christmases. She co-stars with Vince Vaughn and also produced the film. Check out E! for her recent interview where she talks about SNL, Sex and the City and a possible 30 Rock guest spot!

Reese Witherspoon has managed to bounce back and continue on with her career after ending a seven-year marriage with Ryan Phillippe.

Four Christmases, Reese’s latest film, is a romantic comedy in which she and Vince Vaughn play a couple forced to spend the holiday with the families of their divorced parents.

“I just thought this was a different kind of Christmas movie,” the divorced mother of two says. “I’d never seen anyone do the idea of a blended family and how they have to go to a million different places, but I hear people complain about it constantly.”

Malinda Williams, one of boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal’s co-stars in the film Nailed, tells OK!, “They’re both very intense actors in the way they work. I think they make a great couple.” Plus, she adds, both have their priorities straight. “Reese seemed very humble and down-to- earth — very grounded and normal.”

Reese Witherspoon arrives on the red carpet in a navy satin Nina Ricci bustier dress with beaded embroidery and bustled hem at the L.A. premiere of her new romantic comedy, Four Christmases, held at the Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood on Thursday (November 20).

Four Christmases (or Four Holidays in Australia) opens in theaters everywhere on November 26 and also stars Vince Vaughn, Sissy Spacek, Kristin Chenoweth, Jon Voight, Jon Favreau and Robert Duvall.

Reese Witherspoon speaks candidly in this Sunday’s issue of Parade about her divorce with Ryan Phillippe, feeling unsure about marriage with Jake Gyllenhaal and the biggest detriment in her life — tabloid fame. Here’s a sampling:

On her divorce with actor Ryan Phillippe: “There are things in my life that are hard to reconcile, like divorce. Sometimes it is very difficult to make sense of how it could possibly happen. Laying blame is so easy. I don’t have time for hate or negativity in my life. There’s no room for it. When you make wrong choices, you have to take responsibility for them: ‘What part of this do I own?’ I struggle to figure out what made me make those choices. All I can hope for is that I’ve learned something from it and won’t make the same choices again.”

On the biggest problem in her life: “The biggest detriment of my life is tabloid fame. It removes me from people. When I first meet someone, it is so hard for me to overcome everything they’ve read about me. It’s not fair. It’s difficult, because I’m the kind of person who just wants to hug people.”

On giving her kids a good value system: ““I’m teaching the children what we were taught growing up—a real set of rules, discipline, and love. Children thrive with a sense of structure, and they’re frightened without it. The ways you behave, how you speak to other people—those things don’t leave you… The other day my son said to me, ‘Mama, why do I have to take off my hat in the house?’ I was like, ‘Because it’s respectful. That’s why you take off your hat.’ And he goes, ‘And I always have to take off my hat in church, too!’ It really bothered him. But those values sustain a life. Respect. Faith. Empathy. Compassion.”

On what life would be if she wasn’t an actress: “I loved Stanford, and I wish I had gone back and finished. Today, if I were not an actor, I’d probably be a social anthropologist or a psychologist. I have an endless curiosity about people. But then I think, ‘I’ve been very lucky. I don’t regret the path I went on in life’.
